The designation of Canada Composites Fellow is an award given by CACSMA in recognition of outstanding contribution in the field of composite structures and materials through research, education, and/or industrial development that is recognisable at the national or international levels, and other contributions to the field, e.g. through significant contributions to equality, diversity and inclusiveness, leadership in outreach and collaboration etc.
This award is in honor of the late Dr. Timotei Centea (1985-2019). Timotei Centea obtained his B. Eng. in Honours and Ph.D at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at McGill in 2008 and 2013, respectively. The Award recognizes outstanding dissertations completed at a Canadian institution in the field of composites and closely related areas.
The CACSMA Award for Best MSc Thesis recognizes outstanding dissertations completed at a Canadian institution in the field of composites and closely related areas.
The CACSMA Undergraduate Awards recognize outstanding work in design, research, manufacturing, and testing completed by undergraduate students at a Canadian institution in the field of composites and closely related areas.
